Weekend Well Visits are back by popular demand at Lakeside Pediatrics!

Most kids are out of school and soon it is vacation time! You are probably not thinking about your child’s needed well visit or sports physical to get back into school this fall. But time does fly and it will be here before you know it. These are the annual checkups we use to make sure your child is healthy, growing, and happy. We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics’ recommendations for wellness visits for children.

School starts on Monday, August 10th this year and to help you get that required physical out of the way we are again this year adding a number of weekend well visit appointments. These Weekend Well Visit Appointments are first come, first served, will be scheduled by phone only and will go fast so call (863)688-3550 today to get yours scheduled. We have a provider on call 24/7/365. When our office is closed overnight and you have an urgent issue that cannot wait until morning, you can call 863-688-3550 and the provider on-call will give you advice regarding your child’s problem.

Requirements

  • Ages 4 years old and older (sorry, these are for school age kids only, Pre-K thru 12 grade)
  • Well Visits only – problems will not be addressed at these appointments.
  • Sports physical forms completed – If your teen needs a sports physical with their school entry physical we will do both at the same appointment at no extra cost to you but you must bring the required FHSAA Preparticipation Physical Evaluation form to the appointment. Forms will not be provided.
  • Sports EKG – Florida’s “Second Chance Act” requires all first-time student-athletes in grades 9 through 12, beginning with the 2026 school year will be required to complete at least one electrocardiogram (ECG) screening. This is Mandatory for ALL incoming 9th-grade student-athletes and any student in grades 10–12 who have never previously participated in an FHSAA-sanctioned sport.
